Banana Dog Treats

Our crazy Patterdale terrier Blake absolutely loves banana! I’ve never had a dog who likes banana before, but he really goes mad for it! Banana is OK for dogs in small doses, but they shouldn’t be eating it in large quantities. So, if your dog loves banana too then consider trying out some of these banana dog treats.

Is Banana good for dogs?

Banana can be healthy for dogs. It is a good source of potassium and magnesium. They are all high in vitamin C and B6. However, they should be given in moderation, because too much banana in a dogs diet can be difficult to digest and cause constipation. Therefore bought and home made banana dog treats as a snack complimentary to usual dog food is a nice way to balance your dogs diet.

Using Training treats to train your dog

We always like to use positive reinforcement methods to train dogs. The idea is that they get a reward within 5 seconds of doing good behaviour or performing their trick. The time delay should be no longer than 5 seconds because then the dog will associate the good behaviour with the treat.
